Ethical
We don't think we're perfect, but constantly trying to improve is really important to us. Creating and publishing our ethical and environmental policy is a way for you to see how we're doing.
The policy below seeks to minimise our negative effects on the world around us. We're also looking at ways we can make an active positive effect, and will announce this shortly.
Energy
- We're a big fan of efficiency... not just in our lightbulbs, but in all our appliances. They're as efficient as we can get them, and only on when really necessary.
- We use natural heating and cooling in our workspace, and only resort to fossil fuels when it's realllyy cold.
Environment
- We drive only when absolutely neccesary, and instead try to use public transport... or to walk!
- We've minimised waste by looking at our processes from start to finish.
- Out of what's left, we recycle everything we can - overall we've cut our waste by 60%
Social
- We try to use local suppliers wherever possible.
- Wherever they are, we pay our suppliers as soon as possible, and always within their terms.
- We will avoid the use of any supplier when there are doubts over the ethics of the company, particularly with respect to environmental pollution and poor treatment of staff.
